Leo Urbinelli, MD, MA, FAAP, is a well-respected and highly-sought after board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon.  Dr. Urbinelli is often regarded as one of the top Plastic Surgeons in Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.  He founded and serves as Medical Director at PNW Plastic Surgery in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Urbinelli specializes in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery; as well as pediatric plastic, craniofacial and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Urbinelli brings to the Pacific Northwest a unique background, skillset and expertise gained from his extensive training and experience.  After finishing in the top of his medical school class we was selected for and completed a rigorous and comprehensive combined surgical residency in general surgery – plastic & reconstructive surgery at the NYU Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (IRPS) at New York University (NYU) Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital in New York City. This highly competitive and world-renowed training program (regarded widely as the #1 Plastic Surgery Residency in the US) helped forge Dr. Urbinelli into the caring and skilled surgeon he is today.

Avary is our Lead Patient Care Coordinator and believes that quality patient care starts with building an open and genuine relationship while understanding each patient's needs and concerns. Avary’s mission is to ensure patients are well-informed, comfortable, and prepared for their journey at PNW Plastic Surgery. 

Avary will be your point of contact in scheduling your initial consultation with Dr. Urbinelli and can assist in coordinating financial options while providing you with a stress-free experience in reaching your aesthetic goals. Avary has been a part of PNW Plastic Surgery since its beginning. With her compassionate nature and extensive knowledge of cosmetic procedures, she is a valued member of the PNW Plastic Surgery team and will be an integral part of your journey to achieving your aesthetic goals.

When not in the clinic, Avary likes going on walks with her husband and reading books when she can. She enjoys spending weekends at the beach and hanging out with friends.

As the Clinical Lead, Sophie is dedicated to providing a positive and well-informed experience to every patient at PNW Plastic Surgery. From your initial consultation with Dr. Urbinelli, Sophie will be your advocate and point of contact and can answer all questions pertaining to the procedure(s) in which you are interested. 

With a clinical background in plastic surgery and pediatrics, Sophie can provide knowledge and education to help you feel comfortable through all aspects of the surgical experience. Sophie will be there to answer any questions you may have before and after your procedure, ensuring that your experience at PNW Plastic Surgery is stress‐free and nothing short of amazing.

In her spare time, Sophie enjoys spending time with her daughter, walking dogs, exploring new restaurants, and shopping at vintage boutiques.  Sophie is an avid reader, she listens to podcasts, and she loves living in the PNW.
